DMW Investigates Former OWWA Chief Over P1.4 Billion Land Deal
The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) in the Philippines is investigating former OWWA chief Arnell Ignacio for the alleged misuse of 1.4 billion pesos in a land deal. DMW Secretary Hans Cacdac stated, "They know for sure Ignacio was involved in a 1.4 billion peso land acquisition transaction that bypassed the OWWA board of trustees." Cacdac revealed that a deed of absolute sale existed and payments were made. The investigation began after a white paper detailing the allegations was received. The video also notes that Ignacio has yet to release an official statement. This case highlights concerns about transparency and accountability within government agencies and underscores the importance of ongoing investigations into financial irregularities.
