Eleven Inmates Escape New Orleans Jail: Security Footage Reveals Details

Eleven inmates escaped from the Orleans Justice Center in New Orleans early on May 18th, 2025. Security footage shows the inmates' escape, beginning at 12:23 a.m. when they were seen tampering with their cell door. At 12:43 a.m., they entered the cell, and by 1:00 a.m., they had exited a loading door and were running. The video shows the inmates scaling a fence and crossing I-10 at 1:19 a.m. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the escape and searching for the escaped inmates.
