Major Drug Bust in Cochabamba: 200kg of Narcotics Seized
Cochabamba Drug Bust: 200 Kilos of Narcotics Seized Cochabamba, Bolivia – In a major victory against drug trafficking, Bolivian authorities have seized 200 kilograms of controlled substances in Cochabamba. The operation, carried out by the FELCN (Fuerza Especial de Lucha Contra el Narcotráfico), resulted in the arrest of two individuals. The narcotics were ingeniously concealed within honey and pepper to mask their scent from detection by canine units. According to a FELCN official, "The suspects' suspicious behavior led to a search of their property, where we discovered the packages hidden in a garage and inside the house." The official further explained that the honey and pepper were used to disguise the characteristic odor of the narcotics. This successful operation underscores the ongoing efforts of Bolivian law enforcement to combat the illegal drug trade within the country. The seizure of such a significant amount of narcotics represents a substantial blow to drug trafficking networks operating in the Cochabamba region.
