Her husband has been arrested, and authorities are investigating the potential involvement of a third person. The crime is suspected to be a femicide, a term used to describe the killing of a woman because of her gender. Prosecutor Luis Alba confirmed the femicide in an interview with Red Uno, stating, "Effectively, it is a femicide. The victim died as a consequence of cranioencephalic trauma; she was polycontused due to the physical aggression she suffered." He also revealed that the motive is believed to be passion-driven and that a third person, possibly involved in an extramarital relationship with the victim, is also under investigation. The incident has sparked outrage and renewed calls for stronger measures to combat gender-based violence in Bolivia. The three children of the victim are currently in the care of family members.
