Bolivia Mandates Vaccination Cards for Minors' Travel Amid Measles Emergency
La Paz, Bolivia – As the mid-year school break approaches, Bolivian authorities have announced a new mandatory requirement for minors traveling across the national territory and internationally: a vaccination card. This measure comes in response to a declared health emergency due to a concerning increase in measles cases. Officials confirmed that strict controls have already begun at both terrestrial and aerial terminals. "We are days away from the pedagogical recess, and control has already begun at land and air terminals for the vaccination card for minors," stated a representative from the operations unit. This initiative aims to prevent a widespread outbreak of the highly contagious disease. Bus terminals nationwide will implement rigorous checks, and transport operators have been instructed to verify that all traveling minors possess their updated vaccination records. "Both transport companies and the deployment of municipal personnel will carry out the controls," an official explained, emphasizing the joint effort to ensure compliance and public safety.
