Quillacollo, Bolivia – The official launch of the 'Entrada Autóctona de la Virgen de Urkupiña', also known as 'Urkupiña de Antaño', took place today, marking the beginning of preparations for one of the region's most anticipated cultural events. Organizers announced that the traditional procession will be held on August 3rd, commencing at 9:00 AM. According to event representatives, over 60 indigenous and cultural groups have already registered to participate, with expectations to exceed 100 groups this year. "We are making a great exception this year by advancing this entrance, which is growing year after year," stated a spokesperson. "We are moving it to 9 AM, and the call for all who wish to register will be from 9 AM at the starting point, at the headquarters of the culture department, or through the president of the 'Entrada Autóctona', Don Juan de Dios." The municipality's objective is to further enhance and promote the local culture, folklore, and traditions. Preparations include setting up grandstands to accommodate the growing number of participants and spectators, reflecting the increasing popularity and importance of the festival to the community.
