Tesco's Campaign Tackles Period Poverty in Hungary
Tesco's Feminine Hygiene Campaign Supports Underprivileged Girls in Hungary Tesco Hungary has launched a campaign addressing period poverty, a significant issue for many women. From June 5th to 18th, the supermarket chain will donate 30Ft to the Ecumenical Charity Service for every feminine hygiene product sold. This initiative aims to provide both product donations and educational programs to girls in need. The campaign highlights the substantial financial burden menstruation places on women; as Rétegi Tícia points out in her video promoting the campaign, "A woman spends approximately 450 months menstruating in her lifetime." This initiative offers a practical solution, allowing everyday consumers to contribute to a meaningful cause simply by purchasing necessary products. Representatives from Tesco stated that they hope this campaign will raise awareness and encourage further support for period poverty initiatives.
