Leaky Roof Leads Actress to Iconic Telenovela Role
Carolina Ramírez, the star of "La Reina del Flow," recently revealed in an interview with Revista ¡HOLA! the unexpected reason she accepted the role of Yeimy Montoya. The actress, known for her previous roles in lighter, more romantic storylines, admitted she initially hesitated when offered the part of the reggaetonera seeking justice. "In 2017, I wasn't looking to do television," Ramírez confessed. "I'd been doing theater for a year and a half and was quite content." However, a significant home repair changed her mind. "I had this huge house, and it started leaking. I needed a new roof," she explained with a laugh. The timing coincided with the offer to play Yeimy, a character with a complex backstory and a darker side. Ramírez found herself intrigued by the challenge, and the rest, as they say, is history. "It was a type of justice through vengeance, something I hadn't explored before," she noted. The role not only proved a career highlight but also a testament to Ramírez's adaptability and willingness to embrace new challenges, even those prompted by a leaky roof.
