MINSK, Belarus – A video circulating online has drawn attention to concerns over food quality at a 'Svetofor' store located in the Masyukovshchina microdistrict of Minsk. The footage, uploaded on August 2, 2025, shows several sticks of 'Italian' salami on display with visible green and white mold. The author of the video, identified as 'алекс' (rezakotwjvc), highlights the condition of the product, stating, "Everything is green, fresh, damn it." The video quickly garnered significant public reaction, with over 52,000 views and numerous comments expressing dismay and sharing similar experiences. One user commented, "Why don't they check the expiration dates and remove items from sale? They do whatever they want. Svetofor is a store of spoiled goods, where are the sanitary stations?" Another added, "I don't know, I live in Belarus in Bobruisk, I use Svetofor often, but I've never seen anything like this." The incident raises questions about product storage and quality control measures within the retail chain.
