Bogotá, Colombia - The highly anticipated return of 'Betty, la fea' took a significant step forward with the inauguration of a fictional 'Ecomoda' pop-up store in Bogotá. The event, held as a promotional launch for the second season, 'Betty, La Fea: La historia continúa', brought together beloved cast members and offered a glimpse into the world of the iconic fashion company. Jorge Enrique Abello, who reprises his role as Armando Mendoza, led the symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony, joined by other prominent characters from the series. Abello expressed his excitement, stating, "It's a majestic spectacle. We are happy that everyone has come, and welcome to this 'Ecomoda' store." The new season, produced by RCN Estudios and written by Marta Betoldi, César Betancour, Valeria Gómez, and Luis Carlos Ávila, is directed by Mauricio Cruz Fortunato. Attendees were treated to a fashion show featuring creations by renowned Colombian designer Andrés Otálora, further immersing them in the 'Ecomoda' experience. 'Betty, La Fea: La historia continúa' is a direct continuation of the original 'Yo soy Betty, la fea' telenovela, which achieved widespread international success, being broadcast in 180 countries, dubbed into 15 languages, and adapted in 28 territories, including India, South Africa, and the United States. The new season is set to premiere globally on Prime Video in 2025 across more than 240 countries, promising to reignite the passion of fans worldwide.
