Paris, France – In a recent interview, Soraya Riffy, a former guest on the popular French television show "Touche Pas à Mon Poste!" (TPMP), revisited a controversial incident involving TV personality Jean-Michel Maire. Riffy detailed the moment Maire kissed her on her chest without her consent during a live broadcast, an act that sparked significant public outcry at the time. "I was hyper-shocked," Riffy stated, recalling her first television appearance. "I had already refused a kiss on the face, and then he kissed my chest. It's intimate." She emphasized the lack of consent, stating, "We are not pieces of meat. At some point, if you are told no, it's no." Riffy revealed that she attempted to file a complaint against Maire following the incident. However, she explained, "It was classified without follow-up because each time it was postponed to court, he did not appear." She further added that despite the channel, C8, being informed and sending correspondence to Maire, he continued to evade the process. While Jean-Michel Maire publicly apologized for his actions, Riffy expressed skepticism regarding the sincerity of his apology. "I think it was just cinema to give himself a good image," she commented. Looking back on the event with more maturity, Riffy firmly stated, "Frankly, it's inappropriate. If he did that to me again, it wouldn't happen the same way." She also alluded to prior inappropriate behavior from Maire in the dressing rooms, further underscoring her discomfort. The incident ignited a significant media storm and continues to be a point of discussion regarding consent and conduct in public spaces.
