Remove carpet stains that won’t budge in 10 minutes with powerful household item
There are a range of carpet cleaning sprays and devices on the market, but something that might work equally as well could be hiding in your bathroom.
A recent online video by content creator Sarah McGlory explores the surprising cleaning potential of ordinary shaving cream, testing its effectiveness on various household surfaces. Inspired by a viewer's suggestion, McGlory demonstrated the product's ability to tackle tough carpet stains, defog bathroom mirrors, and restore shine to stainless steel sinks. In her video, McGlory first applied shaving cream to a stained carpet, successfully removing the mark. She then buffed the cream onto a bathroom mirror, which remained clear even after a hot shower, suggesting anti-fog properties. The creator also used shaving cream to polish a stainless steel sink, achieving a noticeably shinier finish. While the product performed well on these surfaces, its effectiveness as a stain remover on clothing, specifically a spaghetti-stained shirt, was described as "okay" rather than remarkable. The video highlights simple, accessible cleaning solutions for everyday household challenges.
