Tears as 15-year-old dog found on street – then shelter find microchip
"He spent most of his days curled up on the cold concrete floor, barely lifting his head," shelter volunteer Sara Yoder told Newsweek
Los Angeles, CA – A poignant video shared online has brought attention to the plight of a 15-year-old shelter dog at the Carson Animal Shelter. The video, uploaded by 'rescue dogs with sara,' features a brown dog lying in its kennel, accompanied by an emotional text overlay stating, "POV: you're a 15 year old shelter dog that's never known the love of a home. You're hopeful you can feel that before your time is up." The video, which quickly garnered over 398,000 views and 95,000 likes, highlights the challenges faced by older animals in finding adoptive families. The author, a self-described 'dog mom of 4,' expressed her commitment to helping such animals, stating in the video's description, "Every dog deserves to feel loved. It’s never too late for your forever home sweet angel. And I will do everything I can to get you seen…." While the video initially sought a home for the dog, an update from the author confirmed that the dog was later returned to its owner.
