Four-Day Work Week: Brazilian Companies Report Huge Success
Brazil Tests Four-Day Work Week: Positive Results Reported Brazil is piloting a four-day work week, inspired by a similar initiative in New Zealand. Twenty companies participated, reducing employee work hours. After one year, the results are promising. According to the study by Reconnect/FGV-EAESP, nearly 90% of employees reported higher job satisfaction. One employee interviewed stated, "It's wonderful! I can spend more time with my family, my son." Another key finding was an 85% increase in employee energy levels. Furthermore, 84% of those surveyed said their mental health improved, with significant reductions in insomnia and anxiety. While the study highlights the benefits, the need to balance employee desires with sector needs remains. This pilot project offers valuable insights into the potential of a shorter work week for improved employee well-being and productivity.
