¿Vas a cancelar el seguro de tu coche? Este es el plazo que no puedes pasar por…
Evitar la renovación automática del seguro de coche es sencillo si se conoce el plazo legal y los pasos que exige la normativa actual.
A recent video from insurance expert Sepaseguros clarifies the legal requirements for canceling insurance policies in Spain, a topic of significant interest to consumers. According to Article 22 of Spain's Insurance Contract Law, policyholders are required to provide a minimum of one month's notice to their insurance company if they wish to cancel a policy. This regulation was updated in 2016; prior to this, a two-month notice period was required. Conversely, insurance companies are legally obligated to inform policyholders of any changes to renewal conditions, including price increases, at least two months in advance. Should an insurance company fail to provide this timely notification, the policyholder is not bound by the one-month notice period for cancellation. Sepaseguros advises individuals to ensure their contact information is up-to-date with their insurance providers to receive these crucial notifications, which are typically sent via SMS or email.
