DIY 'Solid Water' Hack Promises Month-Long Plant Hydration for Travelers
Paris, France – A new home gardening hack promising up to a month of automated plant watering is gaining traction online. Content creator Sissi.Astuce.et.Bon.Plan recently shared a method for creating 'solid water' using common household ingredients. The technique involves boiling water and mixing in agar-agar, a natural gelling agent, along with coffee grounds, which are known for their fertilizing and pest-repellent properties. This mixture is then poured into molds to solidify into small, gelatinous discs. Once solid, these discs are placed directly into plant pots. The creator claims that the 'solid water' slowly dissolves, continuously releasing moisture and nutrients into the soil, effectively watering plants for 10, 20, or even 30 days, depending on the number of pieces used. This method could offer a convenient solution for plant owners who frequently travel or are away from home for extended periods.
