Salt Lake City, Utah – Lisa Barlow, a prominent figure on Bravo's 'The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,' is currently facing a lawsuit alleging over $400,000 in unpaid loans. The suit was filed by Park City homebuilder Bart Carlson and his company, Yukon Construction, who claim a long-standing friendship with Barlow and her family led to a series of substantial loans. According to the complaint, Carlson and Yukon Construction provided Barlow and her businesses, Lux Marketing and Vida Tequila, with over $171,000 between May 2010 and June 2011. Additionally, Carlson personally loaned Barlow $87,100 between 2010 and October 2015. The lawsuit further details a payment of $32,320 in 2015 to cover the loan for Barlow's Range Rover. The total amount claimed in the lawsuit is $410,842.36. The complaint suggests that some loans were channeled through Barlow's attorney to keep her husband, John, unaware of the companies' financial difficulties. Carlson reportedly made repeated requests for repayment, which were allegedly dismissed. In response to the lawsuit, Lisa Barlow has vehemently denied the accusations. She stated, 'I am deeply saddened he has decided, nine years after our restaurant business ceased, to claim that I owe him money,' asserting that she consistently fulfills her financial obligations. This is not the first instance of legal challenges for a 'Real Housewives of Salt Lake City' cast member. Jen Shah, an original cast member, was sentenced to six years in federal prison in 2023 for her involvement in a telemarketing fraud scheme. In 2019, Heather Gay and her company, Beauty Lab + Laser, sued Monica Garcia for unpaid cosmetic services.
