Romania Election Day Weather Forecast: Cool Temperatures, Rain, and Mountain Snow Predicted Romania is heading to the polls tomorrow, and the weather forecast could impact voter turnout. Meteorologist Raul Ilea from Stirile Kanal D has issued a warning about cool temperatures and inclement weather across much of the country. "Cool weather in almost the entire country, with maximum temperatures generally between 11 and 21 degrees," Ilea stated in a televised report. He also indicated that minimum temperatures overnight will range between 2 and 12 degrees. Rain is expected in Banat, Crisana, Maramures, Transylvania, parts of Moldova, and Oltenia. In mountainous areas above 1500 meters, there is a prediction of sleet and snowfall. Strong winds are anticipated, with speeds reaching 45-60 km/h in low-lying areas and potentially exceeding 90 km/h in the mountains. Ilea noted that while these temperatures are lower than usual for this time of year, they shouldn't deter voters from fulfilling their civic duty. The forecast is a reminder for voters to prepare for potentially challenging weather conditions as they cast their ballots.
