Baccalaureate 2025: First Day Reactions and New Exam Procedures
Baccalaureate 2025: Students React to First Exam in Bucharest Bucharest, Romania – June 10, 2025 – The first day of the 2025 Baccalaureate exams in Romania concluded today, with students across the country completing the Romanian Language and Literature exam. At Colegiul Economic Viilor in Bucharest, reporters from Stirile Kanal D spoke with students as they left the exam hall. Elvira Costache, a reporter for Kanal D, captured the atmosphere and student reactions. "Students leaving the exam told us they had prepared extensively," reported Costache, "while others admitted they relied on luck." The exam included essay questions on characters from two literary works: "Moara cu noroc" by Ioan Slavici and "Povestea lui Harap Alb" by Ion Creangă. This year's exam introduced a notable change: students can now view their graded work before submitting any appeals. This new process will take place on June 20, 23, and 24. Preliminary results will be released on June 20th, with final results following on June 30th. This year's Baccalaureate saw the lowest number of registered students in the last 20 years, indicating that approximately one in four students did not participate. Tomorrow, the mandatory written exams in mathematics and history will continue.
