Melbourne gears up for the Big Freeze 11! Three tons of ice are being prepared for the spectacular ice slide event at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The annual charity event, which will see celebrities sliding down a massive ice slide, is set to take place at 2pm today. Sunrise presenter Shirvo gave a sneak peek of the preparations, showing the enormous amount of ice being installed. "Three tons of ice, all set to go for the celebrities that are going to slide down here," Shirvo said. The event will be broadcast on Channel 7. This year's Big Freeze promises to be bigger and better than ever, raising money for vital research into motor neurone disease.
