Makó, Hungary – Teachers and staff from the Hódmezővásárhelyi Szakképzési Centrum recently gathered at the Maros Adventure Park in Makó for an unconventional Teachers' Day celebration. The event, held on June 26, 2025, aimed to foster community and provide a relaxing conclusion to the academic year. The highlight of the day was a lively cooking competition, where 14 teams representing seven vocational training institutions and the central organization vied for the title of 'HSZC Pride Chef.' Participants had complete freedom in choosing their dishes, leading to a diverse array of culinary creations. Judges, including gastronomy expert Sági Szilárd, meticulously evaluated each entry. Beyond the competitive cooking, attendees enjoyed a variety of outdoor activities available at the adventure park. Colleagues were seen engaging in zip-lining and navigating challenging rope courses, providing opportunities for team-building and shared experiences in a natural setting. Dr. Ambrus Norbert, Chancellor of HSZC, emphasized the importance of such informal gatherings, stating, 'Our goal for today was to spend a relaxed, communal day together. The Maros riverbank in Makó provided the perfect setting for this, with ideal weather and various courses for our colleagues to try.' The event successfully combined competitive spirit with camaraderie, allowing educators to unwind and connect outside of their usual professional environment.
