London, UK – Amazon recently concluded its highly anticipated devices event, introducing a range of new smart home products, with the Echo Show 8 and Echo Show 11 taking center stage. TechRadar's Jacob Krol provided an initial hands-on overview, highlighting the significant design and feature upgrades. The new Echo Show devices boast a slimmer profile and an enhanced 11-inch screen for the larger model, designed for optimal viewing from any angle. "Alexa+ was kind of the star," Krol stated, referring to the advanced AI capabilities integrated into the new devices. He also pointed out the improved 13-megapixel camera, described as the best Amazon has ever shipped in an Echo Show. The Echo Show 11 is priced at $219.99, while the Echo Show 8 is available for $179. Both devices run on the new Vega OS, featuring customizable widgets for health and wellness, and a new partnership with Oura for integrated health tracking. Krol suggested the Echo Show 11 is ideal for family rooms and communal spaces due to its size and versatile display, while the Echo Show 8 could fit well on a desk or nightstand. The new speakers are designed to project sound both above and below the device, enhancing audio experience.
