
Poland Invests 5 Million Złoty in Advanced Train Simulator for Enhanced Driver Training
Gdynia, Poland – PKP Intercity, the Polish national railway company, has invested 5 million złoty in a state-of-the-art train simulator located in Gdynia. This simulator is designed to enhance the training of locomotive drivers, preparing them for a wide range of scenarios. The simulator boasts advanced visual and audio systems, accurately replicating the experience of operating a train. "The simulator replicates 5,000 actual railway routes found in Poland," explains Adam Wawrzyniak of PKP Intercity. The motion platform adds to the realism by simulating vibrations and acceleration, mirroring the real-world experience. The training scenarios encompass various weather conditions and potential system failures, ensuring drivers are well-prepared for any eventuality. Mateusz Jedrzejewski, an instructor, adds, "After just a few minutes, you truly feel like you're driving a real train." This investment underscores PKP Intercity's commitment to driver training and safety, ensuring the smooth and safe operation of Poland's railway network.
