Garlasco Case: New Clues Emerge as 3D Technology Investigates Crime Scene
Garlasco Murder Case: New Investigation at Poggi Villa. The Carabinieri's RIS unit has returned to the scene of the 2007 murder of Chiara Poggi in Garlasco, Italy. Using advanced technology, including lasers, scanners, and drones, investigators are creating a 3D reconstruction of the villa to re-examine blood spatter patterns and other evidence. This renewed investigation follows the indictment of Andrea Sempio, a new suspect in the case. Francesco Compagna, a lawyer for the Poggi family, stated, “The Carabinieri are conducting measurements and taking readings to reconstruct the crime scene, including the trajectories of the bloodstains.” The investigation aims to shed new light on the murder, for which Alberto Stasi was previously convicted and is currently serving a sentence. The use of modern technology in this renewed investigation shows a commitment to finding justice for Chiara Poggi.
