What do the Americans really think of the British? One tourist was left bemused at how Walt Disney World portrays UK culture at the World Showcase in…
Orlando, Florida - A recent video review by British content creator Callum Ryan, known as 'thatonecal', has offered a unique perspective on the UK Pavilion at Epcot in Walt Disney World. Ryan, a self-proclaimed Brit, explored the themed area, providing his "honest opinion" on its authenticity and offerings. His review highlighted several key features, including the detailed architecture, the dedicated English Tea Garden, and the Rose & Crown Pub. Ryan noted that the pub successfully replicated the look and feel of a traditional UK establishment. He also sampled the fish and chips from the Yorkshire County Fish Shop, expressing considerable satisfaction with the quality and surprisingly affordable price, stating it was the "best I've ever had." While praising the selection of British sweets and merchandise, including items representing various UK regions, Ryan did express reservations about the traditional outfits worn by the staff, suggesting they did not appear genuinely British. Concluding his review, Ryan controversially rated the 'fake UK' at Epcot higher than the actual United Kingdom, humorously citing its safety, cleanliness, and warmer climate as reasons for his preference.
