The alleged crimes involved drugging the victims and stealing their Rolex watches and other valuable jewelry. The first incident occurred on March 11th when a man reported meeting Esty at E11even Miami nightclub. He invited her to his Doral apartment, where he claims he became incapacitated after consuming drinks. He awoke to find Esty and his Rolex watch gone. After drinking, he went to sleep, and upon waking, he discovered his $11,000 Rolex, $8,000 in cash, and designer sunglasses were missing. Police say Esty's ID and some of her belongings were left at the scene. The final reported incident took place on April 21st at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach. A man stated that Esty approached him in the lobby and later went to his hotel room. After he consumed a drink, he fell asleep and woke up to find Esty and approximately $30,000 worth of jewelry missing. "Surveillance video and a photo lineup confirmed her identity," said a spokesperson for the Miami-Dade Police Department. According to CBS Miami, Esty turned herself in and remains in Miami-Dade County jail. The case highlights the importance of being cautious when meeting strangers and consuming drinks in unfamiliar settings.
