In a recent interview, Sinkovits-Vitay András, son of the esteemed Hungarian actor Sinkovits Imre, shed light on the less glamorous aspects of his upbringing. Speaking candidly, András recounted a childhood marked by adversity, including repeated expulsions from kindergartens and schools. "It was huge," Sinkovits-Vitay András stated, referring to the experience of being his father's son. He detailed how he was "kicked out of three kindergartens" and subsequently "two primary schools, then three high schools." When asked if his father was angry about these expulsions, András replied, "No, no. My dear father..." He further elaborated on the family's financial hardships, revealing that bailiffs had seized their furniture. "The bailiffs, what they left of the furniture, we managed with that," he explained. He emphasized that despite his father's legendary status, their childhood was far from privileged. "Don't let anyone think we had such a great childhood. No." András shared a poignant example of their struggles, stating, "I learned, for example, how to wear my mother's trousers, because when they fit me, and how to go to school in them." His account offers a rare glimpse into the personal challenges faced by the family of a celebrated public figure.
