Perama, Greece – A heartwarming moment unfolded recently at the "All Together, All One" inclusion event hosted by the "Machites" Association for People with Disabilities in Queens Park, Perama. Alexandra Stamatopoulou, a Greek Paralympic gold medalist, captivated the audience with a powerful zeibekiko dance performance. Stamatopoulou, who has been battling Stiff Person Syndrome since the age of 14, won gold at the Paris Paralympics in the 50m backstroke S4. "It was an incredible experience," Stamatopoulou shared. "I wanted to share my joy and inspire others to overcome challenges." Her dance, performed to the song "Athena Mou" by Konstantinos Argiros, brought many to tears. The event showcased the resilience and spirit of individuals with disabilities, highlighting the importance of inclusion and celebrating Stamatopoulou's inspiring victory.
