Kazakhstani Soldiers Awarded Grants for Free Higher Education
Twenty-two Kazakhstani soldiers who completed their mandatory military service in 2024 have been awarded government grants for free higher education. The grants were presented at a ceremony at the Ministry of Defense in Astana. "I served in Us-kamen, Serebryansk," said one recipient, Umirzhan Albergen, who served in the Air Defense Forces. Another recipient, Stanislav Chern, who served in Atar, commented on the changes in military service, saying, "A lot has changed from the old times; service has become easier." The grants represent a significant investment in the future of these soldiers and highlight the government's commitment to supporting their education and career development.
