A recent social media video by user Victoria Antonik, known as @tori_kyiv, has garnered attention after she reviewed what she claimed to be the "most expensive shawarma in Ukraine." The video, uploaded on October 6, 2025, features her experience at the "Not Only Fish" restaurant in Kyiv, where she purchased a shawarma priced at 1747 Ukrainian Hryvnia (approximately 44 USD). Antonik presented the dish, which arrived in a wooden box and was pre-cut into two halves. She noted the crispy lavash and identified the filling as shrimp and real crab. However, she expressed a subjective opinion on the taste, remarking that "as for me, it tastes like crab salad wrapped in lavash," suggesting a comparison to more common and less expensive crab stick salads. She further commented, "Perhaps one needs to be a gourmand to distinguish expensive crab meat from cheap crab sticks from ATB." The video also provided a glimpse into the restaurant's pricing structure. The menu listed the "Shawarma with crab and shrimp" at 1560 UAH. An additional 12% service charge, which is automatically added to the bill but remains at the customer's discretion, brought the total cost to 1747 UAH. Despite her personal taste preference for the shawarma, Antonik praised the restaurant's atmosphere and service, concluding that she would "definitely return for this atmosphere" after saving up. The restaurant is located at Velyka Vasylkivska, 94, in Kyiv.
