Ricardo Peralta revela que fue víctima de un intento de estafa y humillación
El comediante narró en redes sociales cómo intentaron estafarlo mediante una llamada que parecía provenir de un número oficial de su banco.
Mexico City, Mexico – Influencer Ricardo Peralta, known as 'torpecillo,' recently shared a personal account of a sophisticated bank fraud attempt, urging the public to be vigilant. Peralta detailed receiving two consecutive calls, seemingly from Santander bank's official superline number, informing him of unauthorized access to his account. According to Peralta, the callers, first a woman and then a man, attempted to guide him through a 'security protocol.' Growing suspicious, Peralta terminated the calls and contacted Santander directly through their official channels. The bank confirmed that they do not make outbound calls from their superline number for such inquiries. "These fraudsters have the technology to make it appear as if they are calling from the bank's official number," Peralta explained in his video, emphasizing the deceptive nature of the scam. He advised viewers, "When they call you and tell you anything, hang up and call your bank directly." He highlighted that this type of scam is common and urged people to verify any suspicious activity by contacting their bank themselves, rather than following instructions from unsolicited calls. Peralta's experience serves as a crucial warning about the evolving tactics of financial fraudsters and underscores the importance of direct communication with financial institutions to prevent falling victim to such schemes.
