Polish Creator Sparks Debate on Modern Men and Traditional Skills
WARSAW, Poland – A recent viral video from Polish content creator 'troxhim' has ignited debate on TikTok, challenging contemporary perceptions of traditional gender roles. In her video, the creator responds to a user's comment, asserting that many conservative men seek the privileges of traditional patriarchal family structures without possessing the practical skills historically associated with such roles. The creator, speaking directly to the camera, questioned the capabilities of modern men. "Are men absolutely 100% sure that an average 20-year-old from a big city can do this?" she asked, referring to skills like changing a car tire, laying panels, or painting walls. She further elaborated, "Do you think an average 20-something could even start a furnace now?" She contrasted this with her own upbringing in a more traditional family, stating her elderly father could easily perform such tasks. The video also touched upon the romanticized portrayal of rural, traditional life often seen in online content. "It all seems very nice on the surface," she noted, referring to edits glorifying mountain living with a wife and children, and a life close to nature. However, she challenged this ideal by asking, "Could you chop wood? Could you, for example, kill a chicken with an axe on a tree stump, because that's how it was traditionally done?" The video highlights a growing discussion about the expectations and realities of gender roles in today's society.
