Atención empleados: si has tenido 2 o más trabajos puede que no tengas que paga…
El asesor fiscal José Ramón López explica cómo puede beneficiar esta medida a los trabajadores que se encuentren en esta situación
Madrid, Spain – Taxpayers in Spain who worked for two or more employers in 2023 may face new obligations for their income tax (IRPF) declaration. According to recent changes, while the general income threshold for mandatory declaration remains at 22,000 euros for individuals with a single employer, this limit is significantly reduced for those with multiple payers. For taxpayers who received more than 1,500 euros from their second and subsequent employers combined, the obligation to declare income tax now applies if their total gross annual income exceeds 15,000 euros. This is an increase from the previous 14,000 euro threshold. An expert from 'FISCALIDAD PARA TODOS' highlighted a common issue: 'When you start a new job, especially a second one, companies often apply a very low withholding percentage, sometimes even 0% or 2%.' This can lead to a pleasant surprise on monthly paychecks but a substantial tax bill when the annual declaration is filed. 'This can result in having to pay 1,000, 1,500, or even 2,000 euros that you didn't anticipate,' the expert warned. He advised individuals in higher income brackets to proactively plan their finances to avoid unexpected payments. The change, while seemingly small, is expected to affect many taxpayers.
