Local Turtle's Triumphant Return to the Ocean

A juvenile green sea turtle named Danny was released back into the ocean on May 10, 2025, at Sombrero Beach in the Florida Keys. Danny had been recovering at The Turtle Hospital from fibropapillomatosis and entanglement in fishing line. The release was a live-streamed event, witnessed by a large crowd of spectators.
