Kazakhstan Simplifies Kurban-ait with New Online Sacrifice Platform
Kazakhstan Launches Website for Remote Kurban-ait Sacrifice Kazakhstan has introduced a new online platform to facilitate the Kurban-ait sacrifice, a key event in the Islamic calendar. This innovative approach allows individuals to participate in the ritual remotely, selecting and purchasing animals online. The website, qurban.muftiyat.kz, offers a range of animals including sheep, goats, and cattle. A spokesperson for the Muftiate stated, "This service ensures convenience and transparency for those observing Kurban-ait." The initiative also includes provisions for low-income families to apply for portions of sacrificial meat. The first day of Kurban-ait in 2025 falls on June 6th, a Friday, which will be a public holiday. This digital innovation not only simplifies the traditional ritual but also addresses the needs of a diverse population, ensuring equitable access to the blessings of Kurban-ait.
