Did Laken Snelling Know She Was Pregnant? Inside the Shocking Case of the Kentu…
New perspectives, evidence, and information have led to even more questions about the tragic incident involving Laken Snelling than before.
Lexington, KY – New court documents have shed light on the disturbing details surrounding the case of Laken Snelling, a former University of Kentucky cheerleader. The recently released affidavit outlines Snelling's account of events following the birth of her baby. According to her statements, she gave birth around 4 a.m., with the baby reportedly falling onto her bedroom floor. Snelling stated she did not believe the baby was breathing or alive. She then wrapped the infant "like a burrito" in a towel and placed it inside a black trash bag, which she subsequently put in her closet. Following this, Snelling reportedly took a shower and proceeded to her university classes, stopping for McDonald's via the app on her way. She did not attend class but remained in her vehicle in the parking lot before returning home, where she was detained for questioning. Contradicting her initial belief, medical staff at the University of Kentucky's labor and delivery department reported that the baby showed "a little bit of fetal movement" before passing out. Snelling herself admitted to medical personnel that the baby made a "whimper," and that she "guessed" the baby was alive. Further investigation into Snelling's cell phone records revealed deleted searches related to pregnancy, including specific hashtags for different weeks of pregnancy, Facebook posts about being pregnant, and "labor photos." Investigators state this evidence points to a concealed pregnancy.
