Colón, Panama – The renovation of the historic Armando Dely Valdés Stadium is progressing steadily, bringing excitement to local sports fans. TVN Noticias recently visited the site, capturing footage of the ongoing construction and interviewing key personnel involved in the project. Edilsa Sánchez, the project manager, expressed optimism about the project's timeline, stating, "We're making good progress; we're at about 40% completion." She also highlighted the significant contribution of local workers, emphasizing that the workforce is 100% from Colón. "We have 60 workers, plus all the machinery, making for a substantial logistical operation," she added. The report showcased various stages of construction, from groundwork to the installation of lighting and seating. A worker, Rolando Blackman, confirmed the progress, stating, "We're practically 40% done with the building." The completed stadium is expected to have approximately 1500 new seats. The project's commitment to using local labor and its expected completion by the end of 2025 highlight a positive development for the community.
