
Police Foil Robbery Attempt in Panama, Underscoring Crime Reduction Efforts
In a mini-supermarket located in Calle Larga, La Chorrera, Panama, a robbery attempt was thwarted by quick-thinking police officers on June 6, 2025. The incident, captured on the store's security cameras, shows two individuals attempting to steal from the store. However, a nearby police unit responded swiftly, apprehending one suspect and recovering a firearm and a stolen mobile phone. He added that the police have conducted over 2,400 joint operations with the Public Ministry this year, resulting in a 10.4% reduction in robberies.
