Sarawak Launches 'Jom Explore' Initiative to Boost Youth Education and Careers Mukah, Sarawak, May 19, 2025 – The Sarawak state government recently launched the "Jom Explore! Why Not YP?" program, a high-impact initiative aimed at providing young Sarawakians with better educational and career opportunities. The program, held at the Mukah Digital Innovation Hub, featured career talks, mentoring sessions, and information on financial aid schemes. Dato Hanifah Hajar Taib, Deputy Minister of Economy, emphasized the importance of young people actively pursuing these opportunities. "The children of Sarawak should grab the opportunities offered and make full use of the space to plan their future more clearly." she stated during an interview at the event. The program specifically targets students who have completed their SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia) examinations and are interested in pursuing professional accounting careers. Parents are also encouraged to support their children's participation. The success of the "Jom Explore" program demonstrates the Sarawak government's commitment to investing in its youth and creating a brighter future for the next generation.
