This call to action comes from Rizal Dato' Nainy, CEO of SME Corporation Malaysia (SME Corp), who recently highlighted the vast untapped potential within Sarawak's young population. "The participation of Sarawakian youth in TUBE 11 can be significantly improved," stated Dato' Nainy in a recent interview. "The potential among young people in this region is immense." He emphasized that the selected participants underwent a rigorous selection process, ensuring only the most promising candidates were chosen. The program, which offers comprehensive training and support, aims to cultivate a new generation of successful entrepreneurs. The report showcased the launch event, where 61 young Sarawakians were selected from 180 applicants. Each participant will receive RM15,000 in funding to kickstart their business ventures. Beyond the immediate financial assistance, TUBE provides a long-term mentoring ecosystem, including alternative financing, business counseling, and support under the 13th Malaysia Plan. Dato' Nainy also mentioned other SME Corp programs like BizPlus, which offer additional opportunities for Bumiputera entrepreneurs. This initiative underscores the commitment to empowering Sarawak's youth and fostering a vibrant entrepreneurial landscape in the region.
