
UPSI Supports Families After Deadly Bus Crash Claims 15 Lives
Fifteen lives were lost in a tragic bus accident on the East-West Highway (KM53) near Tasik Banding, Gerik, Malaysia, early this morning. Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) responded swiftly, pledging support for the families of its students involved. "UPSI is providing one staff member for each student's family to ensure they receive the necessary assistance," stated Professor Datuk Dr. Md Amin Md Taff, UPSI's Vice-Chancellor. Police Chief Datuk Nor Hisham Noruddin confirmed the incident, adding that 13 victims were transported to HRPB Ipoh for post-mortem examinations, while two others were taken to Gerik Hospital.
