Three Dead in Royal Thai Police Helicopter Crash

A Royal Thai Police Bell 212 helicopter crashed in Prachuap Khiri Khan, Thailand, on May 24, 2025, resulting in the deaths of three people. Eyewitness videos show the helicopter engulfed in flames shortly after the crash. News reports identified the victims as Police Lieutenant Colonel Prasong Pulek, pilot; Police Major Phra Phumiphat Jittiwat, pilot; and Police Sergeant Major Thinakrit Suwannor, mechanic. The helicopter was reportedly on a routine patrol mission when the accident occurred. "It happened so fast," said one eyewitness, who declined to be named. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation. The Royal Thai Police expressed their condolences to the families of the victims.
