Kremlin Confident Drone Attack Organizer Won't Escape in Kazakhstan
Russia believes the organizer of the recent drone attack on its military airfields, Artem Timofeev, has fled to Kazakhstan. The Kremlin has stated that all necessary measures will be taken to apprehend Timofeev and reveal all the details of the operation, code-named "Web" by Ukraine's Security Service. The attack, which occurred on June 1st, targeted several strategic air bases across Russia, including those in Siberia. The SBU claimed damage to 34% of Russia's strategic air force, estimating the cost of the damage at $7 billion. Timofeev, reportedly involved in renting warehouses for assembling Ukrainian drones and using trucks for their transport, fled days before the attack, according to his wife's social media posts. While it's unclear if Russian authorities have contacted their Kazakhstani counterparts, the Kremlin's determination to bring Timofeev to justice is evident. The incident underscores the escalating tensions and the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
