La Paz to Witness Spectacle of 100,000 at Gran Poder's "Promesa"

La Paz, Bolivia, prepares for the annual "Promesa del Gran Poder" event this Sunday, June 8th, 2025. The event, a significant religious and cultural celebration, is expected to draw an estimated 100,000 spectators. Americo Gemio, the Secretary of Cultures, stated in an interview with Unitel Bolivia, "75 fraternities are ready, with 50,000 dancers and 20,000 musicians." The procession will begin at 7:30 AM from Avenida Mariano Baptista and follow a route shown on a map provided in the Unitel report. While some streets will be closed, Gemio assures that markets in the Max Paredes and La Rodriguez areas will remain open. The event concludes at Plaza Vicente Juariste Eguino, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of La Paz.
