Santa Cruz, Bolivia – The first Agro-Livestock Forum, organized by the Eastern Agro-Livestock Chamber (CAO), is set to commence at Fexpocruz, bringing together presidential candidates and key sector stakeholders. The forum aims to address critical issues facing Bolivia's agricultural and livestock industries. Four presidential candidates have confirmed their attendance and will present their government proposals. Discussions are expected to cover vital topics such as the implementation of biotechnology, strategies for boosting exports, policies regarding land invasions, and solutions for the current economic challenges, including the scarcity of dollars and fuel. According to organizers, the forum will feature a structured format. Each presidential candidate will have 10 minutes to present their plan for the agricultural sector, followed by a 30-minute question-and-answer session. It has been specified that there will be no direct debates between the candidates. Over 500 producers from various regions of the country, along with representatives from multisectoral committees, transporters, industrialists, guilds, and exporters, are anticipated to participate. The event is designed to foster dialogue and secure commitments from future leaders regarding the development and stability of the agro-livestock sector.
