Samuel Doria Medina Pledges Imprisonment for Land Invaders and Biotech Deregulation
La Paz, Bolivia – Presidential hopeful Samuel Doria Medina outlined key policy proposals yesterday, vowing to address land invasions and boost the agro-industrial sector if elected. Speaking to supporters, Doria Medina stated his administration would move to incarcerate individuals involved in land invasions, particularly those with official backing. "Those land invaders will go to jail," he declared, emphasizing an end to what he described as "privileges." In a move aimed at agricultural development, Doria Medina also pledged to eliminate restrictions on biotechnology within the first 100 days of his government. "In the first 100 days, I will ensure that all limitations for the unrestricted use of biotechnology in the agro-industrial sector are removed," he announced. The candidate highlighted his commitment to ensuring fuel availability and addressing economic issues without relying on subsidies.
