Honor Unveils Ultra-Thin Magic V5 Foldable Smartphone in London London, UK Honor officially launched its latest foldable smartphone, the Honor Magic V5, at an international event in London. The device is being touted as the world's thinnest foldable phone, boasting impressive specifications and a sleek design. During the presentation, a representative stated, "The Honor Magic V5 measures just 8.8 millimeters when folded and an astonishing 4.1 millimeters when unfolded, making it even thinner than an iPhone 16 Pro Max." The device also weighs a mere 217 grams in its white model, emphasizing its lightweight construction. The Magic V5 features a dual AMOLED LTPO display setup, with a 6.43-inch external screen and a nearly tablet-sized 7.95-inch internal screen. Both displays offer a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a peak brightness of 5000 nits, ensuring vibrant visuals even in direct sunlight. Honor highlighted its commitment to user comfort, integrating features designed to protect eye health. The phone also supports advanced multitasking, allowing users to run up to three applications simultaneously on its expansive internal display. Under the hood, the device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform, described as "the most powerful chip on the market," ensuring seamless performance for any task. Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the robust camera system, which includes a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel wide-angle lens, and a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom. Powering these features is a substantial 5820 mAh battery, supported by 66W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. The Honor Magic V5 will be available in black, gold, and a China-exclusive brown version, with a launch price expected to be around 2000 euros, including special launch offers.
