CHONGQING, China – A recent social media post by travel blogger Vanna Bojovic has shed light on the surprisingly affordable accommodation options available in China, particularly in cities beyond the capital. Bojovic showcased a three-room apartment in Chongqing, which she secured for an astonishing $19 per night on the 29th floor of a building. The apartment featured a living room, a small kitchen area equipped with a projector, two bedrooms offering panoramic city views, and a bathroom with a washing machine. "The value for money in China is fantastic," Bojovic stated in her video, detailing other low costs such as €5 taxi rides and €3-4 for local meals. She further noted that even a visit to the Great Wall, including transportation, cost only €16. This revelation challenges common perceptions about travel expenses in China, suggesting that with careful planning, travelers can experience major cities without breaking the bank. Bojovic, known for her extensive global travels, highlighted that while Beijing might present higher accommodation costs, other regions offer comparable quality at significantly lower prices, making China an attractive destination for budget-conscious explorers.
