Bulgaria's New Automated Traffic Fine System: A Step Towards Safer Roads
Bulgaria Implements Automated Traffic Fine System to Curb Accidents Bulgaria is taking a significant step towards improving road safety with the introduction of a fully automated system for issuing traffic fines. This new system, which will automatically generate electronic fines for speeding violations, is designed to address the country's high rate of road accidents. The fines will be issued electronically and will be doubled if the driver does not have a registered electronic address. Unpaid fines will result in the suspension of vehicle registration. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Grozdan Karadzhov, stated, "Bulgaria must stop being at the top of the list in terms of victims and injuries in road accidents." This new automated system aims to deter reckless driving and improve overall road discipline. The implementation of this system reflects Bulgaria's commitment to enhancing road safety and reducing accident-related casualties.
