Hungarian public figure Majka has opened up about the significant political backlash he has encountered since the release of his recent hit song. In a segment from the upcoming season of "Útközben elmeséled" on VIASAT3, Majka discussed the intense scrutiny and attacks he has faced, describing how his name has frequently appeared on news front pages.During the interview, Majka reflected on the nature of politics, stating, "Politics is capable of distorting facts, exaggerating, or downplaying real events." He specifically referenced a controversial "banana shooting" incident, which he characterized as a performance that was misinterpreted. "We didn't see this coming, that such a huge scandal would arise from it," Majka remarked. He further elaborated on the absurdity of the situation, explaining, "A non-existent country's non-existent prime minister was shot with a non-existent pistol, which was a banana or a microphone end, and because of this, I am forced to explain myself." Majka indicated that while the situation is not pleasant, it doesn't constantly weigh on his mind, but he views it as a pretext for broader criticism. "It's just a reason," he said, implying that if it wasn't this, it would be something else. The full interview is set to air on Monday at 19:00 on VIASAT3.
